Climate in Hungary Hungary has a temperate continental climate. January is traditionally the coldest month and the hottest are July and August However, as the climate changes all over the world, so to is the Hungarian climate. Long gone are the severe winters of -25 and the inches of snow that clad the ground
for 2 to 3 months. Hungary is now very much like Ireland in the winter months of December, January and February, However, from mid March to mid October, the climate is so much better than Ireland. During March the spring arrives, and you can often enjoy temperatures of up to 18 C or as low as 6 C . It climbes steady from march on and the months of May to October are guaranteed for good weather June,
July and August are powerful months, and are as good as you will get on the Mediterranean coastline. The temperature will never drop below 28 C in these months and wll often climb to 38 C in mid July Sunny hours/year in Budapest : 1853 hours.
